Dominoe has gained her Bronze Good Citizen Award
Dominoe is a real mummys girl a loving caring fun loving character. Her nickname is "Tiggle Wiggle" as her whole back end wiggles when happy. She is mum to Ebony, Indi and Maverick. She is now spayed. She has done very well in the showring but we only show her occasionally as she gets bored of it very easily, so when she does show she enjoys it as its refreshing. Her favourite thing is playing ball give Dominoe a tennis ball and she is in her element. Dominoe has taken up obedience and she really enjoys it. She has mastered the send away, recall with distractions, distance control, retrieve etc very well. She looks forward to her weekly classes
. Dominoe was taken very poorly in August 2010 and after extensive tests it was revealed she has ATypical Addisons.. a condition where the adrenal gland situated on the kidneys fails to function properly, therefore unbalancing the electrolyte levels in the body. Known as the "great pretender" the hardest part of Addisons is the diagnosis as it mimicks other illnesses . Now diagnosed she is on 2 x florinef tablets a day and has regular blood tests just to make sure levels are good. Addisons dogs managed right can live long healthy fullfilled lives.
It is wonderful she is like a puppy enjoying life to the full, galloping ,playing, eating well.
We have done extensive research both here and over seas and with the help of vets, specialists, breed club health advisors Addisons forums, and researchers know it isnt hereditory or genetical so therefore Doms children are not at risk.. Thank you to everyone for their help and support.
