Hi my name is Di Stilgoe and along with my husband Paul we own the Teisgol pointers, fondly know as "The Teisgol Tribe.
Paul & I married in Nov 1982 we adopted a lovely wolfhound cross named Benjy (he had been thrown out, he was only 5 weeks old when we had him.... he went on to give us 16 years of love and happiness.
He was joined not long after by Sam the english springer
In June 1984 our son Mark was born, followed in August 1986 by our daughter Sarah.
Our love for dogs remained we soon had our third dog a lovely Welsh springer named Major, we had been encourged to have a go at showing but sadly Major had an overshot jaw, so we took part in local companion shows where major became unbeaten in the "dog with the waggiest tail class" .
Over the years I trained up and became an obedience trainer, we were given a GSD pup(Megan) by a friend whom I went on to do obedience with.
Paul had always wanted a border collie so we rescued a working collie pup named Bryn, he also became an obedience dog, followed by a rescue crossbreed Barney (Marks dog) and a rescue pointer cross named Pebbles (Sarahs dog)
This is where the love of pointers started.................. over the years we sadly lost the springers and my GSD so we decided to buy a show strain Border collie (Loki) after a few years our daughter whom had been taking part in junior handling retired Pebbles from obedience and agility and she begged us for her own show dog, we suggested a border collie but she had other ideas !!!!!!!!!!!! she had been researching Pointers.... so we spent the next 6 months or so researching them ourselves, then we found a local breeder whom was expecting a litter, we went to visit and went on her waiting list.
A few months later Ace (Hurwyn Hannibal Hayes) came to live with us. And to say that he stole all our hearts would be an under statement.... a few years later we bought a bitch in from the Casilex Kennels (Casilex Black Velvet) when she was 2.5 years old we had a litter from her .... She had 10 pups and we retained 2 bitchesTeisgol Soft As Silk (Jade) and Teisgol Follow That Star (Mistletoe)
This was the start of the TEISGOL KENNELS.. the rest is history ...... you can see each of our dogs on their own pages in this site............... Thank you so much
